Global Food Crisis: FAO Report Warns of Mounting Challenges to Feeding 10 Billion People by 2050

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has issued a stark warning about the future of food security, revealing that the world’s agricultural system faces unprecedented challenges as the global population is projected to reach nearly 10 billion by 2050. The report highlights that food demand will surge by 50% compared to 2013, placing immense pressure on natural resources, food production systems, and global supply chains.

Nearly 800 million people worldwide remain chronically undernourished, and more than 2 billion suffer from micronutrient deficiencies.
